Replacing main Windows 7 disk

Thread needs solution

Dear community,

I'm a little confused as to what I can do with what. So, let me say what I want, and then maybe someone can tell me whether I'm right. :)

I want to buy a license for Acronis True Image Home 2010, for use with Windows 7, 64-bit. With it, I want to make full-disc image backup of hardisk A to another internal harddisk B. Then I want to replace harddisk A with a new, faster one, and restore the image for drive A back onto the new drive.

Can the above be done with Acronis True Image Home 2010 alone? The Acronis homepage lists 'Hard Disk Drives' under Storage Media for the Plus Pack, suggesting this functionality isn't available in the standard version.

Also, I'm reading quite a bit about bugs and unsupported media on this forum. None of which really inspires much faith, I must admit. Then again, there's probably thousands of satisfied customers one never hears of. :) So maybe it's not so bad as it looks.

I hope someone can clarify these matters a bit.

Thanks.

You should be able to do what you want with TI. The Plus Pack version isn't required since you're just changing the drive and not the computer.

You can download the trial version of TI and see if it works for you.

I did so as above and all seems to be verry well. But the new disk did no start.
After installing a second original Microsoft Windows 7 from a original MS-DVD>>>
after that the Acronis True I10 Image works after a new try without problems after then!!!
???A special signature from Microsoft for the disk???
Acer Notebook WITHOUT special DVD, 64Bit Windows Home Premium, all thing partitions and so on was there!!!
