Cloud storage options
Hi,
I'm using ATI 2016 and think about an upgrade to ATI 2018.
(1) I found only upgrade options to "standard" version without cloud support.
==>Is there an upgrade to advanced / premium version?
(2) Cloud options seem to be quite fixed (250GB / 500 GB with advanced, 1 TB with premium). More than 1 TB only with premium, but no information about prices.
==> what is the pricing model for cloud storage?
Many thanks,
Michael

Hi Steve,
unfortunately this doesn't answer my questions (at least I didn't find it):
- how (at which price) can I upgrade to premium? All upgrade sites offer just standard, also the upgrade buttons in my ATI 2016.
- what is the cost for additional cloud space? (there is a remark that it can be ordered, but no price information...)
Strange...

Michael, only Acronis can give you accurate and precise prices for their products and services, so I would recommend opening a PreSales Support Case directly with them to get answers to these particular questions. Follow the 'How to get support?' link in the Useful Links section of the forum pages. Then click on the You don't have an Acronis product yet and have a question link within the document to follow the steps for a PreSales case.

mfri,
Please check out the link below. It describes how to upgrade using the "Account" tab of ATI. It says it only applies to ATI 2018, but it may apply to 2016. I don't know for sure, but it is worth a try.

Hi FtrPilot,
the information in this article does not apply to ATI 2016, there you find only upgrade option to standard version.
Finally I found it out: I installed the demo version of ATI2018. In this software you see the upgradee conditions (ONLY there, strange...).
For those who are interested in this issue:
(1) there is NO discount on advanced and premium version for upgrade users (at least from ATI 2016), i.e. upgrade to premium costs 99 € p.a. , identical to new customers.
(2) each additional TB costs 40€ p.a.
I was hoping for a more customer friendly upgrade strategy...
Best regards,
Michael

Acronis pricing can be confusing. It is not unusual for the full and upgrade prices to be identical, particularly when a new version is released. In Australia (at any rate) this happened with ATI 2016 and ATI 2017. It seems they have a temporary reduction in the full licence cost - strange marketing strategy.
The documentation on availability of cloud storage is rather confusing and I suggest you contact Acronis sales support.
