Mass-update of Agents on 64 an 32 Bit Clients

Thread needs solution

A few days before, I asked for help for certificates Problems.
https://forum.acronis.com/forum/acronis-backup-125/certificate-error-when-installing-acronis-backup-agent
Yesterday, the Build 7970 came up. I'm confident that our Problems would be solved.

My questions are:

How can I run an update on all machines at one time?

There are Clients with 64Bit and 32Bit. How can I include the 32 Bit installer on our 64Bit Management Server?

Hi Patrick,

In order to enable both x32 and x64 bit agents installation you need to unpack x32 components for remote installation into c:\program files\acronis\remoteinstallationfiles\[buildnumber] folder. To get the required installation x32 package initiate remote installation to one of your x32 machines from Devices->Add - you will see a screen similar to below with the proper link and instructions:

x32Installer.PNG

After that you will be able to perform remote update of both x32 and x64 agents from Settings->Agents (you can enable all checkboxes at once for mass update).

Thank you.

Hi Vasily,

first, I updated the Management Server.

Now there's a possibilty to update the Clients via Settings.

If I choose a 32Bit Client, I have a list of Downloads:

I saved the Offline Installer 32Bit into following Directory:
C:\Program Files\Acronis\RemoteInstallationFiles\7970\

An I extracted the exe-File into following Directory:
C:\Program Files\Acronis\RemoteInstallationFiles\7970\AcronisBackup_12.5_32-bit

But even when I try to uupdate a 32Bit Client, the same list of Downloads occures.

Do I have to do someting else?

Hi,

I've tried the same scenario and the list of downloads appears for 32-bit clients only until you restart Acronis Management Server service (so that AMS could re-initialize the remote installation directory). After I restarted this service, the proper prompt for credentials appeared when I clicked on "Update" button in Settings->Agents.

Thank you.

That is what I need to do (same issue as I post here >https://forum.acronis.com/forum/acronis-backup-125/download-undefined-b…)

My problem is that I cannot update my Management Server as it is not internet-connected.  Is there a way to do the update otherwise (like a downloadable patch)?

Hi,

You can download a standalone installation package from your Acronis account management where you have your licenses registered (at https://account.acronis.com) - the new Hotfix1 build (#7970) should be available there, so you can get it on some machine with Internet access and then copy over to your Management Server machine and perform the update.

Thank you.
