Acronis Active Protection

Thread needs solution

It is curious I am unable to turn this feature ON. I should note I built this system in 2010 and it has a LEGACY BIOS not UEFI. Can any one shed some light on this issue.

Hello Tsquare,

Please take a read of the following article  60469: Acronis True Image 2018: Active Protection toggle turns off automatically if an empty card reader is connected. Looks like you've encountered the same issue.

Thank you!

It works after reboot. So I must enable CF reader as needed and reboot. Is this feature running all the time or only when ATI is working? Your time is valuable and I thank you  Ekaterina. TT

This is a bug in the software that we are waiting on the Acronis developers to resolve and put out a fix for.  The KB document is to help users to workaround the issue in the meantime.

This is fixed in the build (9850) released overnight (Melbourne Australia time). See release notes.

Ian,

I read that after I got past an Drive Error that created a real problem for me. I got past the drive error by isolating my drives one by one until low and behold it it was my images drive that took a dump. Long story now I need to advise the tech at Acronis what I found by reading the POST message and going from there. If it's not software well...
