Is there a way to set backup destination without having to browse to it each time?

Thread needs solution

Hi again folks,

Just wondering if there is a way to set the destination partition for backups without having to browse to it each time in ATI 2018? I only do full backups.

At the moment I am using ATI 2018 on a windows 10 partition on my computer but went back to using ATI 2010 on my windows 7 installation on same computer. Just love the clear well laid out GUI on it, date stamps the backups and don't have to set destination partition each time as 2010 remembers it.

I do realise that ATI 2010 won't restore backups made with ATI 2018, but will work in reverse.

With ATI 2018 it takes three mouse clicks to set the destination partition maybe 5-10 seconds in all to do it.

No big deal I hear you say, but just wondering is there any way to get around having to manually set destination path each time?

Many thanks

Joe

Joe, sorry but the answer is no, there is no way to set a default destination choice - ATI 2018 will try to default to the Acronis Cloud in my experience, so extra clicks are needed to set a different destination.

Thanks a lot Steve, its not a deal breaker.

On the subject of creating boot media, for 2018 installed on different computers, will the dvd created on one computer work on others with 2018, or is the dvd computer specific?

Thanks a lot Steve, for all the help you have given me and other users on this forum, must be time consuming, really appreciate it.

Joe

Joe, the 2018 Rescue Media DVD should work fine on most computers and not be specific to one particular computer.

With the new Windows RE media in 2018, it will pick up drivers from the system where the media is created, but these should not be an issue when used on other computers as Windows will only use drivers that are needed.
