Unable to manually add process to permission list in Active Protection

Thread needs solution

I cannot find  a "suspicious" process when I use the add feature on Active protection.  The "suspicious"  file can be located in Windows Explorer, but not in the Add feature of Active protection.  Any ideas of why that happens?

The process may be a file or .exe of a component of another application which has not been installed.  Just a guess here but I see the same thing on my system with Intel Rapid Storage Technology application.  I installed the app simply to activate the write back cache feature but did not activate the other components.  Active Protection flags those as suspicious I believe because they are present but not active which is seen as a dubious activity by Active Protection.

Paul, please see KB 60193: Acronis True Image 2018: Active Protection blocks legitimate applications which has a lot of good information in this area.
