upgrade to windows creator breaks Acronis 2018

When TrueImage loads, get error message saying could not load the SQLite database
I tried to install the latest version on the windows update machine, the update package just quit. I restored OS back to previous version, True Image works now

I also posted a support request, but I am not getting a response that is meaningful

Gregory, welcome to these User Forums.

I am running ATIH 2018 on the latest Windows 10 Fall Creators Update 1709 without any issue, as I was on the previous Creators Update 1703 too.

I have never seen any errors related to SQLite database when running ATI, so my first question is to ask if you have installed ATI using an Administrator account and are you launching the application from the same?

The only time there have been problems with ATIH 2018 (and 2017) is when running on the Windows 10 Insiders builds 17017 or 17025 both of which are not supported by Acronis because are Beta versions.

Updating to a new Win 10 build can badly mangle a Windows installation. Sometimes the only solution is to do a fresh install. On the one system I updated to Creator Fall it badly scrambled things. Some programs would not run; it lost home group and permission for various drives. Had to go back to old build of Windows (which Acronis handled without issue).

Not much I can do to help here. You could try a repair installation of ATI 2018, but I am not confident it will fix the problem. You may need to uninstall ATI 2018 and then run the clean-up tool. Before doing this I would confirm there are no other issues (programs not working correctly), as you may be better off going back to prior build.

Hello Gregory Hilsheimer ,

I have searched in our internal databases but have not found any similar errors to the one you have described here. Thus, to investigate the issue properly, the support will need the screenshot and the reports from you if the issue happens again.
