Compatibility of Build 1755 vs Build 1749; Major concerns
We are having issues with many images that refuse to correctly deploy (the images deploy using standalone, but not over network with deploy agent). We were told to move to build 1755 to fix this issues. This did indeed fix the issues, but it seems all our images created with 1749 are no longer compatible.
This is a MAJOR issue for us. We are new Acronis users that bought a huge amount of licenses a few months ago, so all of our images (50+) are based on 1749.
Will every upgrade or version change mean we have to rebuild our images? That is absolutely insane. Is there a utility or software to convert images made in 1749 to 1755 format (Like true image)?
Please advise.

Hello Everyone,
Acronis Snap Deploy 5 officially supports images created with the older builds, including Acronis Snap Deploy 4 and Acronis Snap Deploy 3. If you encounter any issues with the deployment of the older images, I'd report the issue to the support team and let the support engineers investigate why the deployment fails.
Have you tried performing a standalone deployment of an image created with 1749? Does it work? If yes, then the issue only affects only the "online" deployment. If you are using PXE to boot the target machines, please additionally double-check you have uploaded the bootable components of 1755 after updating.

Seeing similar issues with 1755 on my end as well. Have removed / reloaded PXE components. I can deploy images created in 1749 and earlier using thumb drive media, but not over the PXE network.

Ekaterina Surkova, This is unfortunately incorrect. We can reproduce the issue reliably. Simply create an image in 1749 and then attempt to restore it via multicast using 1755 agent and OS deploy server. There will be invalid format errors.
I filed a ticket as you asked. Support has officially replied and said this is a known problem with 1755.
What support did say that was useful to know is that compatibility with both 1749 and 1755 images will be restored with their next official update (update 4?). This next update will support restoring from images created by both 1749 and 1755.
Support even called me to confirm all this, but declined to provide an exact date or timeframe for this next update.

Thanks for the information.
My hope is that they provide a beta build prior to having us have to wait for the official release. This has been a significant obstacle for our deployments.

Same here. Management wants to know why we are hesitating to deploy the newest solution we just spent major bucks (for a site license) for.

Has anybody heard any news about this issue? I have a bunch of new systems that aren't supported by the network boot components of 1749 and was hoping 1755 will fix that.
