Thread needs solution

It don't work at all. Clone, nope. Restore from "backup" nope.

Who ever made this crappy ass program can stick error code "cannot find version 1" & "failed to write snapshot manager to drive" up their BS program making A$$'s

Yo Mamma, welcome to these User Forums.

Sorry that you are having problems in using ATI and now want a refund, however, this is a User Forum, and the people here are no different to you as users, including the MVP's.  We do not work for Acronis, are not paid by them etc.

Please open a Support Case directly with Acronis to request your refund, or else send a private message to Renata Gubaydullina | Product manager, Acronis True Image who will be better placed to try to get your refund for you.

I feel the need to put a "Yo Mamma" joke in here, but will refrain.  :)

Yo Manna, do contact Acronis technical support to request a refund though.  Never had much issue backing up or restoring with Acronis, myself, but they have a 30 day no questions asked refund policy.

Bobbo...I would have enjoyed the Yo Mamma joke....

But....Today my replacement 525 GB SSD arrived to replace my full and failed 250gb ssd drive.

I quickly booted to my TIH2018 restore DVD and did a restore of my C drive (C partition and the EFI System Partition) to the new SSD.  It took 8.2 minutes to restore and did an auto restart and "very quickly" booted to my new fully restore SSD.  I have had a few glitches along the years but have always been saved by my TIH backups.

So, that is my story... that can be taken to the bank !

Regards,

Steve F.

Steve,

Glad to hear of the easy recovery from old to new drive.  That's typically what I've experienced too and why I continue to use and support Acronis.
