Convert 2016 .tib files to .vhdx for use in Hyper-V builds

Thread needs solution

Have 2016 .tib files of MS2008 Server builds which I would like to add to Hyper-V so that I can simulate the server suite.   Have put aside 250gb on my laptop and init/detached the VHD.    Now what ?  Any assistance would be appreciated.

Using Acronis 2018.

Hello Norman Lippert,

Acronis True Image does not support server OSes.

Did you do the image of the system with Acronis True Image 2016? Via bootable media and sector-by-sector?

In this case there would be a possibility to create a new virtual machine, boot it with Acronis Bootable media and recover the backup to this machine. However, we cannot guarantee its boot 100% as this was an unsupported OS.

Norm, as the PM exchange:

Take a look at forum topic: Converting an Acronis 2016 image file to *.vhd or restore a *.tib as a virtual machine where a similar question was raised in the forum a while back.
