Cannot find version 1: Full Backup

Thread needs solution

I use only the full back scheme to back up my c:\ drive. Currently I have two full backup files: (1) X_full_b6_s1_v1.tib and (2) X_full_b5_s1_v1.tib. I deleted b1 to b4 files because I no longer needed them.

Now, when I try to recover using the b6 file (the most recent backup),  ATI gives me an error message "Cannot find version 1".  I get the same error message even when I manually add the b6 file.

What is going on? The b6 (and the b5 as well) is a full backup file. Why does ATI need version 1?

Chrisk-K, if you have deleted the b1 to b4 backup files manually, then you have left behind information about those deleted files in the Acronis Database files, and this is what will cause ATI to look for those deleted files if you try doing any recover of the existing backup files using the Windows ATI application.

To resolve this issue, either boot into the standalone ATI application using the Acronis bootable Rescue media (which doesn't care about any of the database information) or else do a Validation for your backup task / backup files in order to reconcile the database with the status of remaining backup files.  When doing Validation, take the Ignore option for each popup error message about missing files.
