WAN replication extremely slow with 12.5

Thread needs solution

is anyone else experiencing this?

11.7 was only as slow as the uplink, 12.5 really drags when it comes to replication over WAN

takes a week to replicate 200gb over 150Mbit upstream!

Tony,

If you're referring to upload speed to Acronis Cloud then typically such issues are related to particular Acronis account vs specific datacenter it's uploading backups to. We have quite good experience fixing such issues (most of them are quite specific and tied to particular environment only) - you should contact our support team to investigate and troubleshoot the problem. Please run speed tests and record the results before submitting the support ticket - see https://kb.acronis.com/content/59690.

Thank you.

no this is is not related to the cloud

the secondary location is just another storage node that's off site

it works nice and fast when both are on the same LAN

and it also worked good on 11.7

Tony,

Thank you for clarification - in this case this problem should be investigated with help from our support team. The replication of backups between 2 separate Acronis Storage Nodes (ASN) should work not slower than the available bandwidth and obviously 200GB in a week is way beyond expectations.

Thank you.

Hello Vasily,

I have cloud replication performance issue. It takes about 15 hours to backup or restore 250gb of data. According to your link i can test different DCs, but how to get known which one is mine?

Evgeny,

The datacenter is selected depending on the "Country" setting for particular Acronis account.

In your case, if the e-mail for your forum account is the same as you used to create Acronis account used in production, then it's RU datacenter (cloud-fes-ru2.acronis.com:44445). If it's not the case then please send me a private message with the Acronis account e-mail address, so that I can check which DC its bind to.

Thank you.

Vasily,
i did a speedtest to RU DC and found download/upload is about 11-12 Mbps both ways. I did the same test for all your DCs and found the same picture to all DCs except of the London one. Download/upload is 40/25 for London. How can we move my account to London DC? I also have tickets on this issue: 03158214 and 03219992.

Many thanks in advance.

Evgeny,

It is possible to move account binding to another DC, however it's not possible to migrate existing backups during this operation (we only plan to add this ability in future. Internal feature ID: ABR-113859). If this approach is Ok for you, then please continue working with our support team (currently opened ticket #03219992) to perform the account migration.

Thank you.
