TI 2011 Biuild 5519 newer than build 8101???

Thread needs solution

I have TI Home build 5519. I know this because I went to Help.....About.
I went to URL https://www.acronis.com/my/products/index.html and downloaded build 8101 which I assumed was newer than build 5519. The downloaded file was TrueImage11.8101_s_en.exe.
When I tried to install this file the install process stopped, telling me that the 8101 build was older than the program I have installed, build 5519. How can that be? I was taught in high school that the higher the revision (build) numbering the newer it is.

The TrueImage 11 is the version number. The 8101 is the build number related to version 11. Version 11 was in maybe 2008.

Then came version 2009 and a year later came 2010 and now another year later we have version 2011.

The first initial release of 2011 was build number 5105.

Within the past few days build number 5519 was released again for version 2011.

So the most recent release available for TrueImage home is version 2011, build 5519

You are correct that the higher build number is the newer release but you must add to that
"the highest build number within the most recent version"

Yes, you downloaded an much older product in the 8101 build.

You might want to do start the 2011-5519 install program again and choose the repair option--just in case you did some damage to your 2011 installation.

Thanks Grover,
The Acronis website is confusing then. One would think, by looking at the update page, that build 8101 was an update to TI 2011. Thanks., again, for explaining.
