[OT technical about forum] About quoting previous post

Thread needs solution

Sorry to bring this here but was not sure where to go with it.

When I choose to quote a previous post, I see the html code on the previous post, but when I add my question/comment and post it to the forum... I see no indication in the resulting post. It just looks like the previous post is repeated above my comments with no inset or other indication that it is quoted material.

What am I doing wrong? I've made no attempt to edit the html code that appears when I chose to `quote previous post' I just add my comments...

Nothing wrong, the forum has been a bit 'wonky' on quotes and coloured text since an upgrade a few months ago.

My suggestion is to add the following HTML code to a quote.

<'em'> quote here <'/em'> without the quote marks.

In addition, I have been adding this horizontal rule command after the quote to separte my response from the quote.

<hr />

Wow... didn't come over this one for some time. Fixed now.

Thanks

Andy,
Thank you for fixing the quotation problems. This problem has been mentioned numerous times in postings plus this addtional reference.

Now, can we get the problem fixed of colored text not working. The colored text has not been working since the last forum upgrade. This has been reported several times before with no color fix.
