ACRONIS ACTIVE PROTECTON using a heap of RAM.
Hi Guys 'n' gals,
WIN 7 HP/32 bit/4Gig RAM.
A quick Q?
Just updated to v2018 from 2016 a week or 2 ago & now have the Active Protection running.
Nice icon in the System Tray, but upon checking the Task Manager,
I see that AAP is steadily consuming around 250 Meg of my RAM.
It's not slowing my operations down but why is it always at such a high RAM usage?
Much appreciate any info you can supply.
I do not want to turn it off as such.
Regards, Rajah..
ps. Seeing as I do not use any other devices or "The Cloud", can I disable the "syncagentrsvr.exe?"
It's also just sitting there consuming RAM...Just 10 Meg, But would prefer it not to be running.
& how do I stop it from Auto-Start Up?
Plus,
In mscofig, Services, I un-checked the Acronis Nonstop Backup Service...
& in Services, there are 4 more processes running, 1 or 2 stopped...
viz;
1/. Acronis Managed Machine Service Mini.
2/. Acronis Mobile Back Up Server.
3/. Acronis Mobile Back Up Status Server.
4/. Acronis Sync Agent Service.
Do I really need these running?
Ta muchly..

Many thanks, Enchantech & Steve...
Had a read of both & decided not to use the .bat file to kill all the Auto processes, especially when it included the Scheduled Tasks.
I did disable a few of the "not needed Mobile & Sync" ones though.
Thanks.
Will see how it goes.
Regs, Rajah..
