How to clear record of backups from TI/Computer
Hi
I am using TI2014 to make single full regular backups on my Windows 7 Home Premium Laptop.
I noticed recently that after making my usual single full disc backup to my USB Ext HDD it failed to validate it saying it couldn't find a backup. When I looked at the entry in TI I noticed that the entry showed 2 backups, the last being the one I made (the only one on the Ext HDD).
I always make new full independent backups and before doing so I always delete any older versions that I do not want to keep using TI to do this.
It would appears that, for some peculiar reason, there is a record either on my computer or Ext HDD of a previous deleted backup (screen grab attached).
I have checked the only backup that exists on this drive through the recovery media and it appears to be a valid one.
How do I clear the backup records so that this phantom backup doesn't appear and to enable me to make new backups and validate them using TI?

I have run a validation of the only backup I have and although it did run correctly I got no option to ignore any other backups. On completion the entry still shows 2 (see screen grab).

That didn't work. No option to ignore appeared and although validation did c0omplete successfully, the entry in TI still shows 2 backups.

Eric, it has been some time since I last used ATI 2014 and I no longer have any systems where this is still installed, so difficult to find an answer to this issue.
Personally I do not use the option to perform a validation as part of making a backup as this mainly takes extra time and doesn't actually prove a whole lot other than that the checksum of the file is still the same as the value embedded in it.
If you are able to still run your backup task and make new backups, then I would suggest ignoring the version information shown in the GUI.
Without being able to test with ATI 2014, I am not sure whether the version number is just referring to the _b2_ sequence indicator in the file name that shows that this was the 2nd file in this backup sequence or chain?

Thanks for your further comments. Now that I was able to verify the validity I am not too bothered - just would have liked to know if this error could be rectified.
