Failure to Recognize NVMe M.2 SSD Snap Deploy 5

Thread needs solution

Hello, we are having some trouble pulling an image with either network and standalone instances of Snap Deploy on some newer Dell Precision 7720's with SK Hynix NVMe M.2 SSD installed.

We are currently on Snap Deploy 5.0.1,749 are there any updates available that resolve the problem?

Thank you.

Hello Tom,

the NVMe drives in essence are supported. There might be issues with detection of particular drives due to the lack of necessary drivers. Have you tried creating a WinPE bootable media? Unlike a standard Linux-based BM it will give you much better compatibility with the wide range of hardware. You can also add necessary drivers manually (might be worth reading Power User Insights: Advanced WinPE/RE Driver Injection in Acronis Media Builder)

Thank you,

Thanks for the update Ekaterina,  unfortunately that did not work, and will have to work around it at this time.
