Acronis Backup Linux 11.7 50088 64 Bit install issue -- failed to start service 'acronis_agent'
Hello,
this is my system:
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.4, kernel 3.10.0-693.11.6.el7.x86_64. Prerequisites are all ok (gcc, make, etc...).
I installed AcronisBackupL64_11.7_50088_en-US.x86_64 following the installation guide.
The installation "completes" with an error indicating that the service acronis_agent cannot be started.
So I try to start manually with no success:
[root@myhost]# service acronis_agent start
Starting Acronis Agent: [ OK ]
[root@myhost]# service acronis_agent status
Acronis Agent is stopped
In attachment the installation and agent logs.
Regards,
Alberto

Hello Alberto,
Thank you for your posting! I've checked the log files you provided - unfortunately this information is not enough to find the root cause of the failure. May I ask you to collect a system report from the affected machine as described here? I'll send you an FTP link for upload in a private message (to access private messages go to My Account at the top of the forum page and click on Dialogs).
Thank you,

Hello Alberto,
I've checked the logs - all components look to have been installed correctly. Most probably the port 9876 (required for connection to the Agent) is used by another service and this prevents the agent from starting. Please check this port and let me know the outcome.

Hello Ekaterina,
you're right!
I've checked port 9876 and it was used by one of our software in IPV6. We don't use IPV6 so I haven't thought about checking it. Stopping that software I was able to start acronis agent.
Tomorrow I'll do some further tests but now Acronis Backup seems to work correctly. I'll let you know.
Thank you so much.
Regards,
Alberto
