Master Boot record not found
The Beginning: I'm using Acronis 2011 on win7 64-bit and I'm having severe trouble with it. Yesterday I used the Try and Decide function, restartet the computer (Try and decide still running), my computer became incredibly slow (corei5,8GB Ram), so i stopped T&D, dropped changes, restarted, result Computer is still painfully slow.
So NOW MY CURRENT PROBLEM: So i tried to fix this with an image from the secure zone i just did this day, what happenend? What i recognized during recovery that acronis insisted to give my systempartition (which i wanted to restore) the letter D (previously C) and the partition was not "active" (I I changed that). Now when i try to restart the message is: MBR is not found..... What do i do now?
Acronis is not a disaster recovery tool any more it has become a disaster event for computers...

Hopefully, your prior backup was a backup of your entire disk and the backup included all partitions.
If yes, boot from the Rescue CD and restore the 100MB partiton. If that does not resolve, then also restore the Win7 user partition plus the 100mb,
Another option is the restore the entire backup as a disk option restore.

Thx guys! I fixed it today by myself. The solution was quite simple (But due to the very "competent" Acronis Phone Support it took me whole day). All I had to do is:
1. Create a bootable Media with a program which allows you to change the active Partition for example:
http://www.computerbild.de/download/COMPUTER-BILD-Notfall-CD-3127466.ht…
2. If the System reserved Partition (Win7) which is 100 Mb is not "active" change the status to active. Everything worked fine
WHAT IS TOTALLY USELESS IS ACRONIS PHONE SUPPORT. I PAID FOR IT AND THE PEOPLE THERE HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT.
I MEAN REALLY NO IDEA AT ALL.
My Conversation took 2: 34h min! After almost every question the answer was: "Wait I have to talk to my supervisor" Then your hear 10-15 minutes (no exaggeration here, my phone shows the time passed) nothing... The solution he came up in the End was that i should download 1.7 GB and create a WinPE bootable Media that included Acronis.. For the only benefit that "Acronis will then have the same drive letters assigned in the Linux Kernel as Windows..." I Knew that this answer was Bull***** All you need to do is change the Systempartion of Win7 (100 Mb) to active..Done
SAVE YOUR MONEY! And Acronis it is REALLY A JOKE WHAT KIND OF SUPPORT YOU DELIVER. IT IS INCREDIBLE THAT FOR THIS KIND OF S*** YOU WANT EXTRA-MONEY FROM YOU CUSTOMERS.....
