horrible performances with nertwork reshare

Thread needs solution

hi all, this is my setup:

vm with 2008 R2, file connect 10, 8gb ram, 4 core, vmxnet2 network adapter

i have a netapp with some shares, i used network reshare to map these share and tried connecting on ONE mac client, the results is:

1 minute to open and enumerate EVERY folder (even the ones with 1 file in it), poor performances working directly in a file (e.g. with photoshop), and sometimes finder freezes.

i tried every workaround like disabling icons preview, the server is working properly and there are no issues with permissions or logins through AD. cpu and ram usage are below 10%, network monitor shows this:

Untitled.png

connecting and opening a single folder.

any ideas?

Hello Marco,

Thank you for your posting! I'd recommend taking a look at the following articles

57772: Acronis Files Connect: a Finder bug causes slow enumerations and sporadic file locks

39371: Acronis Files Connect: Event Viewer message reporting "Long delays processing Mac client commands have been detected."

57500: Acronis Files Connect: Configuring Network Reshare Support

If you still experience poor performance when working with the shared volumes, it's worth raising a support ticket, so that our engineers can help.

already read all the articles above, the issue is the same on a high sierra client, even with .dsstore files deleted and even with other finder alternatives
