Hi
I have Acronis True imag Home installed on my PC running Windows 7 Home Premium.

I have disc backup stored on a partition on a different drive to the system drive.

The restore function works perfectly if I run the restore mode from the installed programme.

I have made two boot discs. One from the installed programme, the other from the downloaded file from the website. Both of these discs fail to boot, so hence in the case of catastrophic disc failure I would not be able to restore the primary disc.

I have transferred the installation to my SONY laptop. On this the boot discs work perfectly.

What do you think my problem is?

"Fail to boot" isn't enough to go on. Exactly what happens? Do you get an error message? Are you sure the CD drive is set to boot? Do other CDs boot properly on that computer?

Hi
It appears that the problem is with Acronis TIH2010. Other bootable discs work fine i.e. Paragon Recovery disc, Win 7 Installation disc.

However, if I try to restore from the installed programme all goes well until reboot when the machine hangs with the mesage:-
Starting Acronis Loader...

If neither loader is working for you, you may be able to get a different version from Acronis Support. Otherwise, you may want to create either a BartPE or WinPE based TI CD.

Do any other versions of TI boot on the computer? Have you tried TI 2011?

Was the Paragon Recovery CD you tried booting into the Linux version or was it the WinPE version?
