Timothy, how are your keyboard and mouse connected here? If you are using a wireless keyboard and mouse, then it is most likely that there will be no support for this as all the Acronis rescue media lacks greatly in wireless support.
If you have the ability to connect a wired keyboard and mouse, then you should find that this will work OK with the rescue media.

Thanks, Steve. I am using a USB wired mouse and a USB keyboard. I've never used wireless peripherals for my personal machines. The motherboard on this computer with the Acronis problem has one, combination, PS/2 port for a mouse or keyboard. I tried using a PS/2 mouse in that port, and unplugging the USB wired mouse while attempting to boot with the boot media, and there was still no mouse cursor.

Timothy, thanks for the further information. Those computers with the combined PS2 port to use with a keyboard and mouse were a bit of an oddity and needed a special adapter cable to split out the device connections - I had one on an older IBM Thinkpad laptop some time ago!
I would suggest downloading / using the MVP Custom ATIPE builder tool for creating your bootable Rescue Media - I would recommend using a USB stick for this if your computer will boot from this as it saves on burning 'coasters'. The key advantage of using the MVP tool is that it can extract the device drivers from your computer where it is being used, so could pick up any special drivers that may be needed for the keyboard and mouse to work.
The MVP tool can work with the Windows Recovery Environment or else will require that you install the Windows 10 ADK kit to provide the WinPE components. I have been using the latter with both Windows 7 and 10 computers (32-bit & 64-bit) since the tool was developed and it is my preferred rescue tool. The Windows 10 ADK can be installed on Windows 7, 8.1 and 10 without issue and only the top 3 options from the ADK install menu are needed.

Thanks, Steve. I've been busy with non-computer work. Then, problems developed with the computer, my main one that was running OK. Booting that computer now gives a blue screen in 10-15 minutes, and I haven't yet figured out why. Even if it's just sitting there, after bootup, doing nothing.
The problem went away after I swapped out a new monitor that I had bought for a backup monitor. The main computer worked OK for a few days, but now is giving a blue screen again, with the backup monitor.
There's not enough time to run Acronis under Windows to restore an image. I'm not sure, even if I did, that there's not a driver or hardware issue responsible for the blue screen; i.e., even if I restored the image, it might not work, and blue screens might pop up again.
I'm writing this on a backup desktop. I'm trying to sort it out, and may have to go over to Microsoft forums if I'm not successful in my own efforts.
Since the bootable DVDs I made do not give a mouse or keyboard, I'm not able to restore an image. The copy of Acronis 2018 on the problem computer is from an upgrade via download for 5 PCs, so there's no disc in a box that I could use to try. I do have a 3-PC, Acronis 2018 boxed disc set, but its product key is not the same as the one on the problem computer. Do you think using that 3-PC disc might work to boot the problem computer?
I am thinking of trying to repair Windows 10 with the Media Creation Tool, but that's another discussion, more appropriate for a Microsoft forum. I also have some other ideas about possible hardware problems.
I'll get back to you if I get a chance to try your suggestions about Acronis.

Timothy, if you have registered your ATI serial numbers, then you can download the Acronis Rescue Media (Linux version) from your Acronis account as an ISO file to be burnt to CD or DVD.
There should be no issue using the boxed CD from either of your ATI sets either.
For Windows, I would recommend doing an in-place upgrade using the latest Windows 10 #1803 install media. You can use the Media Creation tool to make the install media.
