no license key - can I still get one?
I purchased Acronis True Image 9.0 at a second hand shop. No license key was with it which I didn't realize until I opened the box at home. Am I able to obtain a license key somehow? I run XP on the computer I wish to install it on. Thank you very much.

Thanks for your response. Items are non-returnable at the second hand store. It didn't cost all that much so if I can't get a key, then I can live with it. They do not keep records of sellers for small items such as this. It was a long shot to get a license key but I thought it was worth a try at a small cost for the disk.

Come to think of it, if it was in an Acronis box, isn't the serial number on that?

The only numbers on the box are the ISBN number and a store SKU number. The disk has no numbers on it at all either.

Did you also check the disc sleeve and any papers in the box (if it had any)?

There was no information on the disk sleeve and there were no other paperwork in the box. Just had the cardboard protector and the disk in a blank sleeve.

Possibly a silly question, but I've not seen a boxed version in real life, I assume that when you install TI it isn't 'pre licenced ' ?
If not I would have expected the SN to be on either the CD, the box or another piece of paper, but obviously that is probably missing.

TI 9 is quite old now (even much older than the free WD and Seagate versions). You might send a PM to an Acronis moderator and see if they could do anything for you.

Thank you all for your help. I'll try a moderator and see. Otherwise, I guess this one will go in the trash and I'll just go and buy a new one. It was recommended to me by my cousin who builds computers. I have 4 computers in my house so I thought something like this might be handy. Thanks again.
