Can you just copy a tib file and save it on other devices??

Thread needs solution

Hi,

Pretty simple question that I would like answered. I have a laptop that have partitioned into 2 drives C: and D:

So I have been running my backups from C: to the D: drive and all is fine.

What has accurred to myself is what if my HD on the laptop failed, my D backups would be lost ;-(

So the question is? Can I just take and right click on a TIB file , save it and then paste that to another external HD?

So I would have a backup outside my laptop?

TIA

Hello John,

the recommended way is using the product interface for moving archives, otherwise the product might loose the meta-data information about backups. What Acronis product is installed?
