To date I've had several interactions with support in regard to my original complaint. They are aware of the problem and don't have a solution yet.

Hello,

same problem here: Videos in Chrome browser are slow as long as AAP is enabled.

Now, my question is: Can I exclude Chrome from AAP? Would that help the slowing down? What risk would be associated with this exception?

Thanks,

Olaf

It would be possible. However, unless you have a strong anti-malware and antivirus solution in place there are real risks of nasty things hidden in video files that could cause havoc with you computer. Not to mention other nasty internet threats. It is possible that newer versions of ATI have less impact. I would not at the moment buy an upgrade to ATI 2020 as ATI 2021 is in beta testing. You could try a trial install of ATI 2020 but check out the complications of the new *.tibx backup architecture before creating a new backup in ATI 2020.

Hello,

I forgot to mention. I am running ATI 2020. Looking at the last entry being from October 2018, there does not seem to be much progress since ATI 2018.

Still slowing down videos is really odd.

Olaf

It is very odd; it does slow down manipulation (editing and the like) of videos, so I have excluded my video editing software from monitoring. I have not excluded video playing software and they play OK. It may be something to do with the live download of the video file.

Hopefully the forthcoming ATI 2021 (public beta testing currently underway) will been significantly improved in the monitoring of what is going on.

May I suggest you provide feedback via the App (it is oddly placed in the Help), explain what is going on and make attach system report is ticked.
