MFT & Mirror Corrupt
Is it possible to undo an interupted confirm of a drive from primary to logical.
I now have a corrupted MFT and it's my data drive.
I have used a data recovery program which the result is less than satisfactory.
Is it possible there is an acronis backup file somewhere which I can use to restore the drive.
As I was low on disk space I didn't backup the drive before making changes. Fatal error.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Peter,
Unfortunately, there is no undo option.
Normally, that type of operation takes very little time to complete. How long was it processing before you canceled it?

Hi Mudcrab , Thank you for your reply.
It was processing some other confirms and ran for a few minutes I think before being interrupted. I have attached some logs I think might be relevant to that particular event and relates to Disk 5 which had all my data. I purchased another 2TB drive to try to recover data with about 3 various recovery programs but most of it is missing or useless. Headers missing of JPG's, word documents all zero's etc.
The most important loss are all the photos and movies of my 6 year old daughter. If any one reads this please backup before making any changes to drives. Anyway, do you think there might be a file hidden that can manually be used to revert the drive back? If all else fails should I try again to change the drive from primary to logical again ? Iv'e spent about 3 weeks now, trying different methods and getting desperate and I want my life back. Any help is gratefully appreciated. Regards Peter.

As I worked as an idiot and scratched a wrong drive I took RECUVA and it found nearly all files. NTfS-Undelete and other tools didn't work. May be RECUVA can help you.

Hi Manfred,
Thank you for your reply. I will certainly try Recuva and report back.

Hi, I tried Recuva and it recovered lots of files but as testdisk reported my MFT and MFT mirror was corrupt most of the jpg files I needed to recover could not be viewed. I then tried GetBackData and could see the program searching by MFT and was overjoyed that probably 90% of various file formats were recovered and viewable even though my MFT was corrupt. I have tried Easus Data Recovery, Disk Internals, EasyRecover & File Scavenger. I'd be more than happy to help anyone with queries they may have but just remember I am not an expert in this field. Thank you to all those that replied to my request for help.
Regards Peter.
