Difficulty With Installation of Windows2000 on WindowsXP System
I have a WindowsXP SP3 system onto which I need to also install Windows2000 SP4. I installed DD11 and OSS. System behaves normally and boots to OSS allowing me to boot XP.
I created a 20GB primary partition behind the 50GB XP partition.
Unchecked the "never load CD drivers" in OSS, inserted Windows2000 installer and re-booted.
Booted to Windows installer and installed Windows2000. Note the Windows2000 cannot be installed directly on the targeted partition. After formating, a message comes up saying the disk is damaged. Solution to this is to delete the target partition and re-create it with the Windows2000 installer.
Windows2000 installs and when system re-boots, it boots directly to Windows2000.
Booting from the DD Boot Media shows that the XP partition is marked active, system while the Windows2000 partition is marked boot.
Any ideas on how to get back to booting via OSS with both operating system recognized?
