Acronis TI 2019 hangs with "Queued" as the status.
Since upgrading to TI 2019 most evenings my backup fails to run at the scheduled time. When I open the TI 2019 app the status on the progress bar is "Queued" and there it remains forever. If I restart Windows 10 Pro and manually run the backup it runs without error. This never happened with TI 2018. Is there any fix for this? Thanks.

Hello Bazsl,
Could you take a look at this article: https://kb.acronis.com/content/61978 ?
Maybe you have some of the cases listed.

Thanks Renata. I have two problems following the instructions at https://kb.acronis.com/content/61978 .
1) In step 4, I do not see the Run missed operation when an external device is connected checkbox on the advanced tab.
2) In step 5, when I change the backup destination I get an error dialog with the message "Failed to deploy task. Restart your computer and try again. If the error persists check your antivirus settings." I have restarted the computer and I have disabled Windows Defender and I still get the error. Windows Defender is the only antivirus software installed on this PC.
Any suggestions? Thanks.

Bill, I would suggest downloading the Acronis Scheduler Manager and using this to clean out all scheduled tasks from your computer, after which you can reset the schedule on a task by task basis. Link in my signature below.
Run the schedmgr.exe as Administrator, then use the task zap option to remove all the entries. You can use the get list option to see how many scheduled task entries were present but these are somewhat cryptic to understand!

Thanks Steve. If I understand you correctly after using task zap I will have to manually recreate all tasks. Is that correct?

Bill, your tasks are unaffected by using task zap, it just removes all schedule information for the task(s), i.e. sets them to be unscheduled until you set a new schedule.

Thanks Steve. I'll try your instructions tomorrow.

To perform steps 4 and 5 in the KB Article:
Step 5 requires the task to be stopped (not queued).
Next you must Stop the Scheduler2Service. In Windows search for Services.msc click or double click to start the Windows Service screen then follow the step in the screenshots below:

Thanks but I get the Failure to Deploy... error when performing both steps 4 and 5 according to your instructions.

What version of True Image did you upgrade from? If prior version was before 2017 then this might be your issue.
If your prior version was earlier than 2017 then I suggest you uninstall the 2019 product. Download and run the Cleanup tool found at the link below, follow the instructions provided with the Cleanup tool, when cleanup is finished, restart your computer then install 2019 again. If you do not have the 2019 install file you can download it from your Acronis Account page.

I upgraded from TI 2018. I should mention that I have TI2019 running on two Windows 10 Pro machines. Both were upgraded from 2018 to 2019 on the same day and I only have the problem on one PC.

Ok, if Steve's suggestion does not work for you then an uninstall, cleanup and install again would be appropriate.

I ran into the same issue of my system hanging at "queued". After some investigation I realized that after installing a new larger hard drive as a backup that TI was looking for the old HD to continue the differentials. I right clicked and deleted the old TIBs and TI went right into creating an all new FULL backup. It would be nice if TI recognized that the old files are not there and gave the option to start a new full backup rather than hanging at queued without the user knowing why.

Mike, welcome to these public User Forums and thanks for sharing your experience with this type of issue.

Not sure if this is relevant; if you get a larger drive, use ATI to move the backups to the new location and this will update the data base used when running backup tasks. This is easy with most PCs, more challenging with notebooks.
