Acronis doesn't see the drive name properly

I have a Seagate 3TB Bakup+ drive. When I create a new backup Acronis calls it "SEAGATE BACKUP+ DESK 0404". That is OK but under that it says "Unknown Drive (L)". That is strange because I gave it the disk name as "3TB". All of my other drives are identified fine. So I reformatted it totally and got the same result.

What would be the explanation?

Eddy, assuming that we are both looking at the same information in the main ATI GUI for tasks.

Per the above screen image, the top line is the backup task name and the lower line is the location where that task stores the backup files it creates.

Acronis calls it "SEAGATE BACKUP+ DESK 0404". That is OK but under that it says "Unknown Drive (L)"

ATI takes the destination name from the information provided by Windows, so not sure why it is saying "Unknown Drive" if you have named it 3TB unless Windows doesn't like the name!

No, it is more like this (I'm not sure how to paste. when I try it another window pops up and tells me to paste there with ctrl/v but that doesn't work with my browser - Chrome).

[ ] SEAGATE BACKUP+ 0404
    [ ] Unknown Drive (L:)

But others are OK, e.g.

[ ] SEAGATE BUP SL 304
    [ ] 4TB (O:)

Windows appears to be OK with the name because that name (3TB) shows up in all Windows's windows.

Eddy, if you want to include screen shots / images, then click on the 3rd icon from the right on the lower line of tools in the editor panel (silhouette of mountains & sun) then upload the image(s) and then select to embed them.

Is there anything different about the L: 3TB drive when compared to the O: 4TB drive, i.e. in terms of the file system format used etc?

Only the size. Both are Seagate "backup" drives. But I don't use their software, I use Acronis.

Here is the inquiry data for 3TB:

I tried to past a screen shot of what Disk Manager shows but there is no "embed them" to select (after I did the upload) so I included the file.

I just noticed that Acronis thinks there is no file system. But Disk Manager says it is NTFS. See the attachment.

Eddy, can you try reselecting the same Destination in ATI for the backup task, and see if doing so resolves the file system identification issue here?
