Acronis 2019 restoring E-mail backups from 2008

Thread needs solution

I've been using Acronis from back through 2008.  I have a couple of Email backups I am looking to restore.  When I try to restore the Email backup I get the error, "Sorry, this backup type is no longer supported."  Is there a way to recover my old Outlook Emails?

TIA.

Julian, backups of Outlook Emails in older versions of ATI going back to 2008 were just Files & Folders backup images, but they included the settings / configuration data for the email accounts.

ATI 2019 has compatibility support for backup archives created by such older versions back as far as TI 11.0 so should be able to open the email backup image.

Provided the email backup image is shown in Windows Explorer as a .TIB file, you should be able to double-click on the file to open it, then be able to browse through the file contents and use Copy & Paste to select and copy your Outlook files to another location on your computer.

Julian, have you actually tried double-clicking on the .tib file in Windows / File Explorer, and if so, does the archive open to show you some of the contents?

Your first image is from the main ATI GUI not from Explorer.

Yes, here is the jpg file, basically says "You can explore only disk and file backups."

Thank you.

Julian, thanks for the new image - that is one that I have never seen!

At this point, I would suggest signing in to your Acronis account online at acronis.com then downloading the rescue media for the older version of ATI that was used to create this .tib file - this will be an ISO file that needs to be burnt to a CD or else converted to work on a USB stick using a utility such as Rufus or ISOtoUSB.

Try booting from the older rescue media and then see if you can restore your email files in that way?
