Thread needs solution

hi, i used acronis about a year ago to back up my c drive onto a second hard drive, firstly is it possible to burn that back up to a disc, so i can use the room on the hard drive that it's taking up.
i've got two dvd drives in the pc.
also i would like to make a more up to date clone of my c drive. if i make a new clone would that erase the old back up and replace it. or would it be better to make an incremental back up. thanks in advance for any help offered.

1. Most likely the size of the old backups exceed the what can be put on a single DVD.
2. You are using the word clone but in Acronis terminology, you are referring to creating an image (disk duplicate) of your existing drive. The backup image (*.tib) is what you probably have on your second drive. If you have the room, then you could create another full image; or if space is an issue, you could add an incremental to your existing backup. However, a year is a long time so an incremental could be as large as a whole new full backup.
3. Consider buying some additional storage space. The prices have come way down.

In Acronis terminalogy, a clone is another disk exactly matching the old one. Any and all data on the target disk is wiped away by the clone.
An backup image is a compressed file which can be restored and expanded onto a new or old disk. More than one image (*.tib) can be stored on the same disk.

thanks for your reply, i think i'll try a incremental back up for now, as i'm a bit of a novice i always worry about it going wrong.
