Can not find NTFS partition, get ext4 ones instead
Hello, I'm here with a noob question.
Case: falsely deleted the partition via windows tool on a non-system drive, then did nothing with it.
My 1Tb Toshiba HDD (can provide additional info if required) was NTFS for all its life. Now I get lists of Ext4 partitions of variyng sizes close to the 1Tb cap (927,7 Gb, 927,5 Gb and so forth) in the window. Fast check takes so much time.
Questions:
1. How long will it take to complete the scan, should I wait for 20-like hours or not?
2. Do I need to worry because of these Ext4 partitions, or ignore?
Thank you!

Alexander, you cross posted this same issue to the Disk Director forum earlier in February but got no answer.
Do you have a backup of your 1TB Toshiba HDD to use for recovery?
What tool are you using here to scan the drive to try to recover the data?
What tool did you use when you accidentally deleted the NTFS partition on this 1TB Toshiba HDD?
I suspect that you will need to use a tool such as Easeus Data Recovery to recover your deleted partition.

Would love to know if he ever solved this problem as i am currently dealing with the same issue, first time using Acronis so not sure if its normal for the complete search to take 2+ hours on a SSD showing 20+ ext4 results along with 1 empty ntfs partition that was placed and hit with a quick format before realizing I had just killed every utility/installation file/music/movie i've obtained since 2017 roughly 850gb

Ryan, you may be able to recover the files assuming you have done nothing other than quick format. I use UFS Explorer Standard Recovery to do emergency recovery. I think you can download an evaluation copy which will allow you to work out if it has a chance of recovering the files.
