Backup not visible in the list

Thread needs solution

I use Acronis true image 2019 with Win 7 64 bit. I configure a file backup and Acronis signals a positive result (green) after the backup performed. The backup is present in the target file system and size is plausible. But if i select Recovery there is not backup available for recovery. What do i make wrong ?

Please download the MVP Log Viewer tool and use this to check the log file contents for any error messages from your backup task.

Screen images of what you are seeing would also be helpful in understanding this issue?

Thank you

i send the log file now. The backup file was indeed created but is not selectable/present

Thank you for the log file information, this does confirm that your F:\AcronisImagesicherung\Test Hugo_full_b1_s1_v1.tib backup file was created, so the next question has to be about your F: backup drive where the file was written to?

What file system format is used for the F: drive, i.e. is this NTFS or perhaps eFAT or something else?

Thank you Steve,

I made 3 attempts

  1. A file backup to an external disk (access via NDAS) succesfull ! I can select the files for restore !
  2. A file backup to another external disk (access via NDAS) with same settings. No files for restore found as described.
  3. The file backup represented by the log file (F:) No files for restore found as described.

The files system formats for the backup target destination of all attempts is NTFS

If I understand you correctly, then the target / destination drive is actually a network drive that you are mapping to a Windows drive letter?

Have you tried using the network address for the target drive directly in True Image, i.e. using \\net_drive\backup or \\192.168.0.??\backup notation?

I make regular backups to my own Synology NAS on my local network with no issues and can access those backup files with no issues.

Thank you Steve,

The first 2 attempts are NDAS not NAS network drives mapped to drive letters. But the 3. attempt represented by the log file is an internal disk and failed also as described !! The makes me confused.

If you are seeing this issue with a local internal disk drive, then that is confusing and not something that I have experienced myself or seen other users reporting.

At this point, I would recommend doing a Repair install of ATI 2019 as a first diagnostic step - this is easy to do as you just need the latest installer program (now ATI 2019 build 17750 released today) and run the installer without removing the older version, which will give a Repair option.
