Snap Deploy 3 problem - agent rebooting when deploying

Thread needs solution

Hi, I created new Vista and XP images using the latest version (3329). When I try to deploy those images, the agent workstation reboot as soon as click the "Proceed" button on the Manual Deployment wizard screen. After further investigation, I found the following error (OpenMultiFileArchive() failed) in the fileserver log:

<event id="217" level="1" module="100" code="0" time="1257884340" message="Open existing udp session 10.104.46.160:69" />

Any idea what's wrong? If I try to deploy an old image created on snap deploy 2, the deployment is starting as expected...

Seems to me that acronis has left the building. I have a simular problem. but got no respons on my case either to bad.

Hello all,

First of all, I'd like to apologize for the delay in response in this thread. We are experiencing higher than expected volume in all our channels, including forum, that's why we are not able to respond to all requests in a timely fashion.

Anyway, let me assist you with this situation.

Christian, the logs you provided are events, they don't display actual cause of the error. That's why I'm not able to provide you with workaround or solution. Product may restart right after clicking proceed because of many factors, such as:

-Failed connection to License Server

-Lack of correct licenses in License Server

-Due to network configuration (probably Agent PC just does not respond)

In this particular situation I'd like you to collect some additional information which will help me to investigate the issue closer and give some conclusions. Could you please do the following?

-Please collect Agent operations log (from particular failed deployment) according to the instructions in this article.

-Clarify your OS in Master Image

-How exactly are you trying to deploy? All I got is that you're using Manual Deployment, but how do you push Agent to the target PC?

We are looking forward to hearing back from you at your earliest convenience.

Thank you.

I am having this exact same issue now that I have upgraded to 3329. Target machine appears to reboot upon 'proceed' and the push fails. Is there any solution to this issue?

Hello PC support!

Welcome to Acronis Forum and thank you for finding time to report about the issue.

Unfortunately due to the lack of investigation information it is difficult to identify the exact cause of the problem, since it could have been caused by several different reasons.

First of all please kindly make sure that

  1. All the components are installed from the same build
  2. There are enough free licenses available for deployment in the License Server

Should everything be fine with these 2 parameters, we will need some additional information, so could you please kindly specify:

  1. Screenshot of the License Server
  2. Wireshark output
  3. Information requested by Alexander in this comment

Please kindly contact support with the information gathered and let us know the case number - we will make sure that it is handled in a proper way.

Should you have any further questions or concerns - please don't hesitate to let us know, we will be glad to help!

Thank you.

Acronis Snap and Deploy 3 will not push images

Well I am at wits end. I am to the point where I have all components installed. I am able to get a server to pick up an IP via PXE, but did not make itself known and register with the Management server.
and rebooting.

Right after PXE booting the Acronis screen comes up and I am greeted with a message that:
No Block Devices Found
Reading All Physical Volumes. This could take a while…
No Volume Groups Found
No Volume Groups Found
No Volume Groups Found
*
Then the above happens.

The only thing I can figure is that there is a driver issue, so I burned a disc and used the standalone functionality in 3. I was able to image this way pointing back to my management point. But I am still unable to push from the management point. I installed the SnapAPI utility on all components.

did not register with the Acronis Management server.

I am to the point where I have all components installed. I am able to get a server to pick up an IP via PXE, but did not make itself known and register with the Management server and client rebooting.
