Centralized Vault Free Space

Thread needs solution

ABR 11.7 centralized vault shows 1.15 gb of free space in it.  The actual device has over 3 tb of space available on it.  As a result of the mis-calculation backups are failing due to "insufficient disk space".  Is there any way of determining how Acronis calculates the free space? Or is there a way to force it to look again?  The "refresh" on the centralized vault doesn't do anything in this case.

Thanks.

Hello Jeff,

thank you for your posting! Would you mind sharing a couple of screenshot showing the vault properties and size of available free space in Windows Explorer?  Is there any other data stored on the device? What product build is used here?

Thanks for your assistance.  I'm running 11.7.50064 and have been for a couple of years at this location.  I'm still testing 12.5 at a different one so we haven't upgraded yet.  My vault is located on a Drobo NAS device.  It has been for years--there's been no changes to either the network or the configuration.

Below is a screenshot of the vault showing space.  (This morning is now shows 215gb available).  Below that is a shot of the space on my NAS device. (Explorer doesn't like to show totals from the device)

Any help you can provide is most appreciated.

Hello Jeff,

is your NAS divided into volumes? The first screenshot shows the whole space on NAS without its layout. Your vault could be located on a separate volume.

Maria,

Thank you for your help.  The vault has full access to the entire disk space of the NAS. There are no segregated volumes on it, just folders.

Jeff

Hello Jeff.

How does Acronis Backup 12.5 see this NAS (you can create a backup location on this NAS for test purposes)?

In order to investigate the reason why NAS storage is seen differently, we recommend that you update your Acronis Backup 11.7 to the latest update (build #50420) and see whether this problem persists.

If the space on NAS is still incorrectly displayed with the latest update, please collect Acronis System Report and share it with Acronis Support Team engineers who will analyze these logs.
