Convert to Full Backup
Hi All
Can anyone tell me if Acronis Backup 12.5 has a Convert to Full Backup function and where I can access it?
I have recently started upgrading from 11.7 to 12.5 and this is a feature I need and use frequently but seems to be missing from 12.5.
Thanks in advance

Hi Ekaterina
I appreciate the suggestion of using export but the result would be a seperate archive.
I need to be able to consolidate to a full within the existing archive. This is possible in 11.7 but I cannot locate this feature in 12.5.

Hello pappy.
There is also Backup consolidation option in Backup options which allows consolidating subsequent backups into a single full backup when retention rules are being started according to your Backup plan.

Hi Maria
I have now tested the Consolidation option and I have been able to achieve what I needed
The issue though is that it is part of a backup plan and you do not get the option to only run the consolidation/cleanup task. Some of the backups/archives I need to consolidate are historical and I do not want another backup to be added to them. In many cases, the original machine has been decommissioned.
Why would the consolidation option not be available in the Cleanup Plans? It would make sense.
In 11.7 you could select a backup, right-click and convert to full.
If you have any further suggestions, I'd be happy to try them out. Else, thank you for your help.
