A few questions on True Image Home 2011

Thread needs solution

Because I had problems with eSata and USB 3.0 external drives dropping out before the image was completed I upgraded to the latest version of this life saving programme, 2011. A few questions though:

1. What is the ')' symbol there for when choosing my backup name? 2. Is nonstop backup automatically turned off when making an image? If not, does it need to be? 3. How do I change the excluded folder C:/Users..... to be included? If I was doing an image restore from the nonstop backup surely I need every folder on my machine for a successful restore? 4. How do I know if the Plus Pack has been installed?

Win7 32 bit NTFS

Peter,

You've managed to snuck into the ABR10 forum, if you could edit your post and in the top left hand corner will be a drop down box which will allow you to transfer this thread to the True Image Home forum, where more people will see it.

2. No I don't think it is, it would probably be advisable not to include the timeline folder in your normal backups. As NSB checks the CPU load before running, I would guess that making a full disk image presents enough of a load to prevent NSB running, though if you've excluded the timeline folder (if kept on the drive you are imaging), I don't see a problem. If you have the timeline folder on your external drive, then you won't need to exclude the folder.

3. I don't see any auto exclusions when selecting complete disk nor when i select individual folders. As you are using W7 could you post a screen snip of what you see?

1. I think you can just remove this, I don't get a ")" in the file name.

4. If the PP is installed you will see it listed in the About box - you would also have had to install it seperately. So if you purchased the special pack and haven't received the serial number for it, you'll need to contact Acronis sales support or PM one of the Acronis moderators here.
