Confused about installing builds
I have just downloaded and registered TIHome 2011 (I think build 5105) but have installed it yet. I see that the current build is 6574 for this and the plus pack. After reading some of the threads here, I am a little spooked about the best way to proceed. Should I just downlad the latest build and install it or install the origional download and then manually install build 6574. I have been using Acronis for quite a while, but since buying a new computer with Windows 7x64, I have not been able to use it. I am not interested in a lot of bells and whistles or Windows Intergration, but just make dependable backups and still have windows backup available. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

I may have made a mistake then. I had read that the upgrade version of TIHome 2011, The promotional home and plus pack, would install as a stand alone program. It was offered to me in an e-mail by Acronis for being a registered user of a previous product, which I could not install on a Windows 7x64 machine. My previous products were TI 8 Full, TI 10 Home upgrade and now TI Home 11 upgrade. Should I have gotten the full version instead?

When you say TI Home 11 upgrade I assume you mean TI 2011? They are 2 different versions.
In any case to install the upgrade all you need is the serial numbers of the new version and the previous version, if you can't find the previous versions serial providing you have registered it on Acronis website you can find it under "My products" after you log in to their website

David,
As Como says, all that will happen if it is the upgrade package (there is no difference with the actual TIH, just the installer program) then all you need are both your serial numbers. There will be an activate option after the install.
If you feel happier in uninstalling your previous version, then do that, reboot and install 2011 - you will still need to enter the serial number of your previous version and your 2011 version. If you had the Plus pack or Universal Restore as it used to be called, make sure you uninstal that as well.
