Create a 32bit Rescue Media disk

Thread needs solution

I have a need to create a 32bit Rescue Media disk to boot a Win2k server.  Having issues around the application in doing so.  It doesn't like any of the versions of WinPE that I have downloaded.

I created a disk using the normal "Windows Recovery Environment" and it worked fine for one machine.  I guess it's processor is newer and will support running of a 64bit program.

However, the machine in question, when I boot using the same disk, it tells me I need a 32bit version.

If someone could assist, that would be great.

Thanks kindly,

James

You shouldn't have any problem creating 32 bit media. Later versions of Microsoft's ADK require a separate download for the WinPE add-on. Make sure you have it installed. I tested with the latest build of TI 2019 on a Windows 10 1809 64 bit system with the 1809 ADK and WinPE add-on. There was no issue creating 32 bit media.

May I ask how you created it and ran TI 2019 from it?  I'm obviously doing something wrong.  I have burned several disks and all have failed.

Thanks kindly,

J.

James, open the Acronis Media Builder tool, then select the Advanced option, then for WinPE media, where you will see a box 'Architecture' at the top of the page allowing a choice of 64-bit or 32-bit media.
