Dell Optiplex 380 - Proccesing.. Please Wait

Thread needs solution

I am using Acronis Snap Deploy 3292. I have installed and configured the PXE server
When I boot my client Dell 380 with Broadcom Network Card. It finds the server but after I select deploy agent it gets stuck with Processing Request Please Wait. It stays there for ever and does nothing.

Please help.

Hello Yana,

Would downloading latest Snap Deploy package from your website solve the 380 NIC driver issue? Or is there a workflow that we 380 users need to go through in order to create NIC detectable client boot images?

regards,

Najib

Hello Najib,

Thank you for your message. I will definitely help you with this.

There are two ways that our software is updated. First, we regularly release program builds which fix known issues and include different updates. Since there is a significant amount of time between update releases, we also provide regular updates of the bootable media which can be downloaded from your Acronis web-account.

For Acronis Snap Deploy 3 you can download the standalone bootable media from your account, if it is not a trial version, but for PXE operations, which is another component of Acronis Snap Deploy 3, we send instructions with different bootable media components to our Customers.

I will contact you via a private message and send you the instructions and unique download links.

If you have additional questions, please let me know.

Thank you.

I have a problem with the laptop Dell Latitude E6410. It is loaded over the network, but the agent does not see the Acronis server.
We use Acronis Snap Deploy 3329.
Thank you.

sorry for posting here

Hello Den,

Thank you for your message. I will definitely help you with resolving this issue.

If I understood correctly, the agent does not detect the OS Deploy Server. Can you try the following workaround please:

1. When the agent boots, click to go into the settings menu and select Deployment.

2. Click on the Server and enter the I.P address of the machine where the OS Deploy Server is installed.

Please let me know if you need additional assistance.

Thank you.

Anton, thanks. All working fine after i install update.

I too had this same problem when booting from media or PXE. After some trial and error I discovered that the NIC was not obtaining an ip address from the DHCP server before the agent loaded. The solution was to increase the timeout value when creating the boot media or updating the PXE server. The "Sweet Spot" seemed to be 60 seconds. After that all my newer Dells connected fine. You can specify a differant timeout inthe IU when creating the media. The Default is 5 sec.

Good Luck.
