We use Acronis Snap Deploy 3329.
Thank you.

Deploy manager isn't seeing the nic on my Dell vostro 430 running windows 7 pro 64-bit(broadcom netlink gigabit) How do I get to see my nic when setting up my boot cd?

Hi,

I'm new here, but can someone please tell me how to update de pxe drivers or the networkdriver for Snap Deploy?
I've already downloaded the bootCD and thats working fine, but when I use PXE boot no networkcard is shown in the snap deploy application.

Thanks

Hello all,

Thank you very much for posting, your feedback and your patience in regards to updating the bootable components manually!

We have finally released a new update for Acronis Snap Deploy 3. It has a lot of issues addressed including hardware compatibility problems.

For now, any hardware issue will have to be investigated because we do not have newer bootable components than the ones already included in the latest build (3470). If there are hardware problems, please collect this report and contact our Support team directly, so that we can properly investigate and resolve such issues.

You can update to the latest build from your Acronis web-account in My Products&Downloads section.

Thank you.

Anton, thanks. After install latest build (3470) all working fine.

Guys,
If you are not going to answer support requests, why do we even have this forum to post to. I have a posted question from December 1st that has yet to be answered. Thanks for the help. NOT!

Hello Justin,

Thank you very much for the follow-up. I am sorry for not replying earlier but I will definitely help you with resolving this issue.

I would really appreciate if you could download the latest build which we just recently released, update the PXE Server components from the program menu and re-create the bootable media. I am certain that the new build addresses most of hardware issues and there is no need to update the bootable components manually.

If the latest build fails to resolve the problem, please collect the following report from the bootable media and contact our Support team so that we can investigate and resolve the problem.

I am very sorry for not replying earlier, you can always contact our Support team for immediate assistance.

Looking forward to your reply and if you have additional questions please let me know.

Thank you.

Hello Liz and Alfredo,

Welcome to our Forum, it's nice to have you with us. I understand how inconvenient the situation can be, and will do my best to assist you.

Liz, the issue looks to be related not to the bootable components and PXE problem (as it does pick up the ip-address), but to the network problem.

Could you please gather

  1. Wireshark
  2. Acronis Linux Report from PXE
  3. Exact sequence of steps performed

and submit a support case with the information attached, and let us know its number?

Alfredo, the issue is really reported to be fixed in the latest build of Acronis Snap Deploy. In order to update the product please follow these instructions.

Should the problem remain, please gather Acronis Linux Report from PXE and also open a support request with specifying it's number to us here on Forum.

Should you have any questions or concerns, please, share them with us, we will be glad to help!

Thank you

Hello,
I would like to request NIC drivers for a Toshiba Portege R700-S1332 laptop; I am trying to create a master image and cannot to the PXE.

Thanks.

Hello Shad,

Welcome to the forum and thank you for your message. I will definitely help you.

Could you please make sure that you are running the latest build and that the bootable media is also updated?

There is no direct way of adding drivers to the bootable media in Acronis Snap Deploy 3, however, if the latest build is not fixing this issue, please collect this report and contact our Support team so that we can resolve it.

Please let me know if you have additional questions.

Thank you.

We have a Dell Optiplex 990 and a Lenovo X220/T420 that we are trying to PXE boot into Snap Deploy. The network cards are not being recognized either. We're on build 3470 and we have a support ticket already open.

How soon can we expect an update? Build 3470 was released 5 months ago and we still can't PXE boot into these machines.

Hi, We've got Dell latitude E6510 and E6520 machines that i'm trying to deploy images to. Using the build 3470 i cant get past the splash screen "Processing, please wait..." from what i can tell, i need the updated ISO and PXE components.

Can Acronis support staff assist me... Also, is there a fix to load the PXE images while the HDD is still in AHCI mode ?

Same problem as Jazz Oberoi here, but on Dell Latitude e6420 laptops. I have removed the quiet parameter and run sysinfo, where I found that no network adapter is detected. Presumably because these machine models were released in february.

Any update here? We need the new components for the manageengine os deployer component.

Hello JR, Jazz and bjorn,

Thank you very much for your posts.

I am very sorry for not being able to provide you with updated bootable components because we have changed our process since the latest build (3470).

To resolve this issue please contact our Support team with the report collected from the bootable media.

If you have additional questions please let me know.

Thank you.

I have a similar problem. I am trying to use PXE on a Dell Latitude E6410 and it is not finding a NIC. The NIC installed is an Intel 825xx Gigabit LAN Card. I have had success prior to this model of Dell.

I'm having the same problem with Dell Latitude E6410, E6420, and E6520 laptops. According to Dell, they all have an 825xx chipset.

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Hello Stefan!

Welcome to our Forum, we're glad to greet you here! I understand your concern, and will be glad to assist you.

Currently the latest Acronis Snap Deploy 3 build contains the latest drivers, thus in case some NICs aren't detected, we need to investigate the issue. Please follow the instructions mentioned by Anton and let us know the case #. We'll make sure it's handled in a proper way.

Should you need anything else or have any further questions - feel free to contact us at your earliest convenience, we will be happy to help you!

Thank you.

Trying to PXE boot into BR 10 on a new Lenovo M91p but NIC isn't recognized. I've downloaded the latest build but it still doesn't recognize it. Suggestions?

Hello Jorgen,

Thank you for posting. I will do my best to help you.

If the latest build fails to detect the NIC we will need to investigate this issue.

Please collect the following report and contact our Support team.

If you have additional questions please let me know.

Thank you.

We would like to announce you that new beta build (4.0.203) of Acronis Snap Deploy 4 is available for testing.
You can download it from https://www.acronis.com/my/beta/asd4/ page

The development team addressed and solved many issues to make the product better. In the fourth version you also may find new opportunity such as ability to create PE image with build-in Master Image Creator, Snap Deploy agent and command line utility. WIN PE media is a good workaround for the cases when ordinary boot media doesn't work.

We’ll greatly appreciate if you spend few minutes for passing our survey http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/3JGG5JS

Hello,

We are having a similar issue with the Dell Latitude 6320. We can get a successful PXE boot to ASD, but there are no adapters present under the "Network adapters" section, and if we proceed by attempting to connect to the deployment server the computer does not show up in the management console.

We have updated all of our components to build 3501 without success. I verified that the new PXE components were uploaded to the server.

Are there further configuration changes we need to make for a successful deployment with 825xx hardware?

Thanks,
Brian

Hello Brian,

Thank you for posting. I will definitely help you with this issue.

The fastest way to resolve it would be to contact our Support team directly. Please include the following report collected from the bootable media.

Please let me know if you have additional questions.

Thank you.

I can confirm that a newer build we recieved from the dev team fixed the problem by not seeing the NIC from the PXE/bootable media. However, I am still not able to make universal deploy work with regards to the NIC driver. Workaround is to force the relevant drivers to be copied into d:\windows\info (c: would be the hidden partition made by windows)

Hi all,

Update: Anybody else having trouble with the updated(in place install) components for build 3501 still not working with the Intel 82579LM NIC?

We spoke with Acronis Support, and they suggested we do this, and it worked!

From Priyadharsan Sathyan(many thanks to you!):

"The 3501 version after upgrading should be detecting the Intel Gigabyte as this build was released only for this issue. If the upgrade does not work then do the steps below.

--Uninstall the product from control panel and then manually delete the Acronis entries from C:\Program files\; C:\Program files\Common files\ C:\ProgramData\

--Also delete the Acronis registry key from HkeyLocalMachine\Software\Acronis, if 64 bit HkeyLocalMachine\Software\vow64\Acronis and HkeyCurrentUser\Software\Acronis.

--After that restart the server and reinstall the 3501 build."

After the reinstall, we configured the PXE server and had a successful ASD boot and deployment.

Thanks,
Brian

I too am having the same problem with the PXE server not being able to identify the Atheros NIC in our new ASUS 12.1 netbooks. I have a case number but need someone to send fix and instructions so we can use PXE server (netbooks have no CD ROM). This seems to be mentioned repeatedly but the only way people get help is by PMs sent by the techs.

Hello there.

I am using the build 3501 for Acronis Snap Deploy 3 and the PXE server fails to recognize the network cards on some new computers.
Could you please provide me with the instructions on how to update the PXE server with the new drivers?

Thank you
