Hardware Raid and Universal Restore

Thread needs solution

Some of you old hands at this can probably pull this off in your sleep, but it's bugging the heck out of me!

I have a machine running Windows Server 2003 that is about ten years old. I want to move this to a new machine.

I bought an Intel Server Board S3000AH because all the Server 2003 drivers are available on their website although I also have a clean install of the OS on the new machine.

I've downloaded and unpacked all the drivers from Intel's site and placed them on a flash disk.

Using a bootable WIN/PE disk, I restored the TIB from the old machine, then rebooted with Universal Restore.

Universal Restore gets 55% of the way through and tells me it needs intervention and complains that it can't find

pci ven_8086&dev_27c3&subsys_348e8086&rev_01

A Google search identifies it as a RAID driver.

There is a software driver on the flash drive, but the hardware has a hardware RAID enable in setup.

Needless to say, the new configuration won't boot.

What am I doing wrong?

TIA,

Ed

Hello Ed,

Thank you for your posting! I'd suggest starting with the following threads

https://forum.acronis.com/forum/acronis-true-image-2019-forum/trying-migrate-existing-windows-10-install-raid-inaccessable-boot-device-after-recover-and-universal-restore  recovery of RAID

What product is used for migration? Please note, Acronis True Image officially supports only Workstation operating systems. Other operating systems can be backed up using a sector-by-sector approach, but they may become unbootable after recovery.
