TI2019 Password Problem

Thread needs solution

I'm running TI 2019 (build 17750) on several Windows 10 (v 1903) 64bit PCs.

No problems until today when I changed the Windows logon password on one of my PCs.  Since then, when I start TI to create a backup it asks me to enter my Windows password.  I enter the new password and it tells me my user name or password are incorrect.  I tried my former Windows password and it tells me that's incorrect too.

Windows recognizes the new password but TI does not.

Any clues or suggestions appreciated.

Peter

Where are the backups? Are they in a remote share or network drive? That's the only time you should need to enter a password. If you updated the local account password and it is different than the remote share or network credentials now, it would need to b changed there too.

Have you also rebooted the system since changing the password and logged in specifically with the new one before launching ATI?

The backups are stored locally.  I backup the C: drive and save it on the D: drive.

Yes, I have rebooted the PC since changing the password.

Peter, check your Windows Credentials via the Control Panel > Credentials Manager and if needed remove any shown there for the account where you changed your password.

ATI should be run / launched from an Administrator level account as documented in the user guide.

Apparently all it took was a good night's sleep.  Everything is working normally (with the new password) today.

Good to hear Peter!  Something we all need regularly!
