Before we can be of assistance we need more information. A breif description of the deatils of the backup would help, as would the version and build of Windows. Also, is there any error message given in the Activity tab? What you probably need to do is to look at the log files - to do this you will need the MVP Log File Viewer, which can be downloaded from the MVP User Tools and Turorials vault.

I am trying to backup c drive with the windows in it of course.windows 10 build 1903.i'm not sure what to download from what you send can you be more spesifice?

We need more information on what error you are seeing when the backup fails?
Has this been working successfully and now fails?
What has changed since it was last able to backup successfully?
Have you upgraded Windows to #1903 since it last was successful?

Have you tried reselecting the Source and Destination data for the backup?

Have you tried creating a new backup task to see if that would work Ok?

The MVP Log Viewer can be downloaded from the Community Tools page.

Log Viewer

A simple application that allows viewing Acronis True Image service logs in a graphical user interface.

  1. Download the tool.
  2. Double-click to run it.
  3. Using date and time, find the log you want to check:

it was working fine and then started to fail.i upgraded to windows 1903 since then yes.i tried creating the backup task at least twice and it always failed. i downloaded the log viewer but it does not log the failed attempts it only log the succesfull ones for some unknown reason.

I suspect that the process fails before it get to the stage of creating the log file.

May I suggest making a new backup task and see if that works. You could also do a repair installation of ATI 2019 - download the installation file from your Acronis Account - make sure it is the full version not the web vesion. The run as administrator and when prompted select repair rather than uninstall.

Also, have you enable Windows Sandbox; if so under certian conditions it will cause backup task to abort. See the discussion in this tread.

i will try repair hope it would work.i don't recall activating something called windows sandbox no. thanks for the help.

ok i tried repair it didn't work it is still failing so i removed the software for the time being and i will try it again in the future, thanks for all your help.

ok i tried reinstalling the sotware and it still fail i don't know what wrong with this software.i will check back again when you release the next version hopefully it will work better.

My recommendation here would be to try a clean install of ATI 2019 which you do as follows!

  1. Uninstall ATI 2019 via the Control Panel if you still have it installed.
  2. Download the Acronis Cleanup Tool then run this as Administrator.
  3. Follow the prompts shown for the tool to the end.
  4. Restart the computer to complete the cleanup action.
  5. Install ATI 2019 using the full installer from your Acronis Account.

Note: The Acronis Cleanup tool (link in my signature) will remove all Acronis software from your computer, including Acronis Disk Director, Acronis Revive, Acronis Universal Restore if installed.

If you want to try a different version of ATI instead of 2019, then sign up for the current ATI 2020 Beta program and install that version.

I know you stated that you tried to recreate the backup task twice and both failed, but what settings did you use to create the task (what is the backup type... entire pc, disk/parition?  What is the source and what is the destination?  How much free space do you have on the destination?  Is/are the new task names NEW and UNIQUE and NOT using the same name as some other backup that might still exist on the destination which could be causing a conflict since it was already used and still present?

Prior to all this, I would simply try to re-select the source and destinations of your backup task again.  Major Windows updates (upgrading to 1903) generally change the disk partition layout and this causes them to be seen as "different" than what was originally selected in a backup task.  Even if they "look" exactly the same in the GUI, they are likely identified differently under the hood now.

So, re-pick the source, then re-pick the destination and try to kick off the backup and see if it completes now.

If it does, cool.  If not, then try the repair installs as suggested above.
