Hello Erik,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Backup & Recovery 10.

The backup job goes through a VPN connection. The backup job is set to take backup of disks/volumes.

Could you please be more specific and clarify how exactly did you organize backup through VPN?

Could you please let me know the build number of the product, which you can find in the Help -> About dialog (it should be a 3 or 4 digit number)?

We are looking forward to hearing back from you at your earliest convenience.

Thank you.

Acronis Backup refuses to include my Outlook PST file? I have included it in the schedule, all to no avail....anyone any idea whats wrong?

Hi Alexander,
The build number is 10.0.11105

Site A
Server01:
Win 2008 X64
Installed Acronis machine components, Centrialized management components
Backup Policy for Server02:
 Full backup:Disk/volumes,All
 Archive:Managed vault, network path(NAS disk)

Site B
Server02:
Win 2008 X64
Volume C: 36 GB
Volume E: 3 GB
Installed Acronis machine components

Firewall:
IPSEC VPN Site A - Site B
Port open : TCP 9876

All filesystems are NTFS

The backup job fails, with the error message described above.

Tested:
Changed policy to backup Volume C only, same error message
Changed policy to backup Volume E only, Backup job succseeds
Changed the backup policy to  files instead, adding different files/folder sizes to the policy, the backup job works as long as the TIB file don't exceed 4 GB.
If it does, then I get the same error message.
Changed the policy to an unmanaged vault pointing to the same NTFS disk, open port 445 on firewall, change the policy to point to this vault instead, then the backup job succseeds
Using a FTP Server also works fine..
But I want to have the job set up with a managed vault, and I don't want to leave port 445 open...

Hello all,

Thank you for using [[http://www.acronis.com/enterprise/ | Acronis Corporate Products]]

Erik,

Please perform the following actions to resolve the issue:

- Please change Backup priority to High and reduce Network connection speed in Default backup options (Options -> Default backup and recovery options -> Default backup options -> Backup performance).

- Set the backup archive splitting to 2 GB (Options -> Default backup and recovery options -> Default backup options -> Backup splitting -> Fixed size).

Andy,

Do you try to perform a partition backup, a files/folders backup or an e-mail backup? Does any error message appear? Please provide us with the details.

Thank you.

Oleg; I scheduled a files/folder backup for every day...to be saved to Seagate external HD. In the path one of the boxes I "ticked" was;

My Computer

local disk (c)

documents and settings

user

local settings

application data

Microsoft

outlook

Within the "outlook" file are several PST files, the current PST being the largest at 2.4 GB.

All of these backup "tib" files on external HD...none of them contain any "PST"  ....Where the outlook files should be in the Microsoft folder there are instead folders;

Hello all,

Erik,

We have released a new build of Acronis Backup & Recovery 10.0 (build #11133).  Please download and install the latest build. You can learn more on how to download the latest build here.

Update all the components and see if the issue remains.

Andy,

Please create a separate task (Create a backup task -> My e-mail -> E-mail folders, etc.) and see if the .pst files are present.

Thank you.

I purchased, downloaded and installed Home 2010 with no problems indicated. When I tried to do a whole disk backup to a USB external drive, it creates the new partion on the external drive and then locks up the entire system. I am running VISTA Ultimate with 4 gig memory and a 4 drive RAID10 setup. Any suggestions?

I have the trial version of True image standard (considered for purchase) and a licensed true image 11. I am trying to do full disks backup for two computers, one running XP home, and the other running Windows 7 home.I am using DVD's. I always get error 0x70004.
In some fortunate occasions it does backup up to the the first DVD, (but only in Win7), after that gets the error message again.
I have tried compressed and not.
I have used DVD+R, DVD-R, DVD-R RW.
I have checked both DVD players and both are able to burn other data.
