The storage quota is almost reached - Trigger

Thread needs solution

Hello again (lots of questions this morning)

Is there somewhere that I can change what level triggers this email?

Customer has 91GB of a 100GB but is adding very little new data. I would rather they get the email at 98GB rather than 10%. Obviously I can do this by increasing their quota but hopefully there's a simple way to change the trigger level for this email.

Hello Neil!

Current design has a fixed threshold, but we consider making it adjustable exactly for the purposes outlined in your post.

We estimate that this feature will be available in Acronis Backup Cloud 9.0 (~near the end of the next year).

I will provide your feedback to the development team.

If you have any further questions, please let us know!

Hello Jasper!

Just checked with the internal plans for this. I stated earlier than we may have been able to get it done by Acronis Backup Cloud 9.0, however more realistically by Acronis Backup Cloud 10.0, no actual release date yet.

I keep adding info from the comments to internal feedback, thank you all for posting!

Good day, These quota almost reach alerts are also becoming an issue for us.

We are now on Cybercloud Platform 21.07

With a few tenants with several TB of storage at a fixed amount of 80% this means we are being warned with several hundred GB of capacity still available which can be many months of use.

A few of our tenants have complained to the point where we can only turn off their reporting completely instead of just the quota related portion or at least have more fine grain control over when they receive such a message.

20% of 100GB means a warning with 20GB free.

20% of 2.5TB means a warning with a whopping 500GB free.

This has been a hot topic with all personell I have spoken to about it, we all find it a great annoyance, as do our clients.

With the amount of options we have in other aspects of Cyber Cloud it seems odd to basically have no control over something that is quite important considering either we let it spam us daily or have to disable reporting on a higher level.

Please provide this feedback to your team, hopefully they can consider implementing a solution soon.

Hello Christiaan ,

thank you for your feedback! I've registered it as a vote for the existing feature request (internal ID for reference  RM-392 Notification threshold for storage usage management. I'm afraid there is no ETA we could share so far.

We're getting daily warnings and have plenty of space left for our needs. Is there anyway of turning off these alerts yet?

Hello!

The alert is triggered by default once you have consumed 80% of the storage.

Please refer to the following user guide: https://www.acronis.com/en-us/support/documentation/CyberProtectionService/#alert-types.html#kanchor178

You can try to disable user notifications in the account management by following this content: https://www.acronis.com/en-us/support/documentation/AcronisCyberCloud/index.html#changing-notification-settings-for-user.html#kanchor172

Best regards.

Thankyou, I'd searched for notification settings but didn't find them. There was no visual indication that the settings were there. Got them now.

Please note this thread is for Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud for MSP ( Service Providers ). If you are not a MSP it's expected that your SP is responsible for controlling your notification setting. In the management console you should follow the instructions provided above to disable the general notifications. If you can't edit those options you must contact your SP to do it or our support at https://kb.acronis.com/content/8153

Best regards.
