Kaz, welcome to these public User Forums.

There should be no reason why anyone cannot buy a license for ATI 2019 or 2020 released on August 20th if the intention to use it to backup a desktop computer.

Hello Kaz,

Acronis has no limitations for using Acronis True Image product in a corporate environment, if it suits your needs. Here you can also find the comparison table explaining Difference between Acronis Backup 12.5 Standard, Acronis Backup 12.5 Advanced and Acronis True Image 2020

There is one issue that can be problematic. As I understand it it is only possible to register 5 licences with one user account (at least for versions other than Standard - not tested in that context). So if you want rudimentary supervision of the PCs using ATI 2020 there may be issues.

In many instances Backup 12.5 feature set may not be needed, so the substantially higher cost cannot be justified.

Hi Ian,

Thanks for the heads up. If it is only possible to register 5 licences with one user account , it may present an issue for future deployment. Backup 12.5 feature is not necessary for me, just to do scheduled backup for one desktop now. I will have to revaluate my deployment strategy. Thank you everyone for your feedback and advice.

It may be worthwhile sending a PM to the ATI Product Manager Renata Gubaydullina who may be able to help you with this.
