incorrect credentials for application aware backup- SQL

Thread needs solution

I have changed passwod for service account for acronis.

I have 3 servers with sql databases - and backup them using plan: all machones application aware sql.

Now I can't use new password with two of them.

I have tried current backup plan, create new backup plan : every time I have message thad credentials are incorrect and can't crete new plan with sql

I have tried:

-full agent uninstall( with settings), and install agent.

- many restarts

- use other accounts.

-install previous version of agent

- install current version of agent

no succes.

BUT - when i go to devices->SQL-> server   etc...  acronis asked me for credentials and the credentials were correct. I can crete sql backup for the 2 sql servers.

But still, when I go to plans and try to create all machine with application aware sql - for the 2 servers, credentials are incorrect.

Thanks for posting this issue on Acronis forums.

On the affected machines, please check Acronis Managed Machine Service status. Open Windows Services: Start -> Search -> type services.msc and press Enter. Locate Acronis Active Protection Service (mms.exe). If the service is stopped, click Start to start the service.

If this does not resolve the issue (or service is already started), please provide the exact error message by sharing a log of this failed activity: Overview -> Activities, select this failed operation, Show details-> Download log.

management service is running. It is connecting when i don't use application avare option SQL.

I ahave no log of activity because I have no activity. I can't configure machine backup with sql:

Hello Marek,

thanks for providing additional details.

I suggest that you edit these affected backup plans: disable application-aware backup option, save the plan, then enable application-aware back and enter these new credentials.

Otherwise, please try to use domain credentials.

If nothing helps, then please open a case with Acronis Support Team since this issue requires personal assistance. Please ask support engineers to remotely access your Acronis Management Console and sort out this situation.
