TrueImage Home 2010 indicating that disk partition has errors

Thread needs solution

Using TrueImage Home 2010 on a Windows 7 Professional machine. I have previous done complete and incremental (image) backups of 3 partitions.

Now when I wish to do a further incremental backup one of the partitions produces an acornis error message:

"Some partitions contain errors and can only be imaged only sector-by-sector. It is recommended that you exit Acronis True Image Home and check the partitions with yoyur system's disk-checking tools. Are you sure you want to continue with imaging?"

I have run all the utilities that Windows 7 Professional provides (including Chkdsk) and no errors are reported.

What are the implications of doing a sector by sector incremental backup when this was not the method used for the original backup and previous incremental backups?

Help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Did you run chkdsk /r on the partitions? For example: chkdsk c: /r

Do you know which partition has the error? You could try backing up each one by itself and see which one TI reports. It may help in finding the solution.

I have never tried changing the type of the backup inside a chain. TI may force a new Full or it may handle it okay. Personally, I don't think I would do it. I'd rather get the problem fixed.

Are you using the latest build of TI 2010 (7046)?

Do you get the same error from TI in Windows and TI from the CD?
