Fehler beim Lesen der Festplatte - chkdsk findet nichts.

Thread needs solution

Hallo,

Karsten

Karsten, CHKDSK can only check partitions which have a drive letter assigned but some partitions can be present which are hidden or system partitions with no drive letter.

I would recommend using a disk diagnostic tool from the support site for your disk drive that can do a complete disk check regardless of partitions etc.

Dedicated diagnostic utilities from the disk manufacturers take the longest time to complete the checks, but provide the most accurate methods of checking whether the disk is good or needs replacement:

 - Western Digital drives: Data Lifeguard Diagnostic for Windows

 - Seagate disks: SeaTools for Windows

 - HGST disks: HGST Windows Drive Fitness Test (WinDFT)

 - Intel SSDs: Intel Solid State Drive Toolbox

 - Samsung drives: Samsung Magician

 - ADATA drives: ADATA SSD ToolBox

 - Kingston SSDs: Kingston SSD Toolbox, Kingston SSD Manager

 - Transcend SSDs: Transcend SSD Scope

 - Silicon Power disks: SP ToolBox

 - Toshiba disks: Toshiba PC Diagnostic Tool Utility

- Crucial disks: Crucial Storage Executive

Hello Steve,

thank you for answering. Soory for delay. But it takes a lot of time to try all posibilities. And I can do It only when the PC is not needed for many hours.

My HD is a WD. I tried your suggestion. But it did not help, unfortunately.

By accident I opend this case at two places. so I described what I dit in the meantime here:

Karsten, I do not see any errors being flagged in the disks.txt report in your other forum topic.

Which particular disk is giving the errors? I see disks 2, 3, 4, & 5 are all WD disks listed in the report.

Are you able to attach a copy of the Acronis System report zip file (if less than 8MB in size)?

Hello Steve,

thank you for supporting me.

I have changed the HDD. Too much risk for important files.

Now the backup is working fine again.

cheers

Karsten

Karsten, good to hear that all is ok again after changing the HDD, thanks for the feedback.
